Elaine: When to start Almond Flour
WHEN TO START ALMOND FLOUR ELAINE WROTE:
*Almond flour can be introduced much earlier in SCD than 3 months. It can be
introduced slowly when things begin to improve such as decreasing diarrhea,
cramping, etc. It is recommended that you make a batch of whatever and
freeze the muffins, etc. Then when things look like you are improving, take
one from freezer, cut in quarters and microwave a small piece and have it
with a meal. Skip one day. If all continues as it has, then the next time,
ingest one half of a muffin and so on.
NUT FLOUR KEEPS
Almond blanched nut flour keeps 2-3 weeks unrefrigerated, 1 year
refrigerated, and 2 years frozen
