Overeating is the problem!
I have noticed one common denominator for diets that work in controlling
Colitis and Crohns. They prevent overeating. We tend to overeat when we
are allowed to eat fast foods, sugery baked foods and other such foods.
So it is not surprising that diets such as SCD, raw foods diet, paleo
diets, no-starch diets, etc. work for many people suffering from
Colitis, Crohns, and other related diseases.

We have all heard about calories, protein, and fat. If you ate the way
nature intended, you would not care about any of them. If counting
calories, burning fat, and eating high protein are so important, why
are Americans, who engage in these practices the most, the most
overweight, disease-ridden people in the world? Getting back to true,
natural health is about preserving the energy of your body, which is
accomplished by preserving its enzymes. Eating the best quality foods
available and avoiding overeating will achieve that goal. “Eat organic

the time!”
Cooked food and too much food (overeating) will destroy you every time
you put them in your body. Cooked and processed food is our biggest
addiction. The longer you live with an addiction, the harder it is to
break and most of us have been eating cooked food since we were born. We
ate cooked foods before we learned how to walk or talk. To regain our
health, we need to avoid cooked foods and to replace them with the best
quality foods available; i.e., raw and organic foods. In addition, no
matter how good the food you eat, if you are eat too much of it, your
body will become clogged. When this happens, your body will not be able
to use this good food. If you overeat, the food goes to waste; and in
time, you too will go to waste. Never overeat!
Food, by itself, has no healing power. Your body does the healing.
However, raw foods and a proper environment give your body the raw
materials it needs to detoxify, to create energy, and to rebuild. Your
body knows how to heal itself and is always trying to heal. The
instructions for self-healing, in fact, are encoded in the genes of
every cell in your body. As Dr. Hereward Carrington stated in his book
“Fasting for Health and Long Life”: “Nature alone cures! All that anyone
can do is to assist her efforts, and permit her to repair the damage.”
Trust the intelligence of your body and allow it to heal.
Most people have yet to touch the surface of good health. Clean and
detoxify your body and you will become healthy. What doctors call a cold
or an illness is simply your body working to get rid of waste. It is the
effect of your body cleaning out all the unusable foods you have taken
in, through overeating, consumption of poor quality foods and bad
combinations. Learn and understand what detoxification is. That way you
will be prepared to experience it and its tremendous benefits,
physically and mentally.
There is really only one disease of the body. It is called Toxemia. Many
doctors of natural hygiene have proven this in their work, but common
knowledge of the way the body works, along with common sense, will also
support this statement. In his book “Toxemia Explained” Dr. John Tilden
explains the definition of Toxemia as natures effort to eliminate toxins
from the blood. He goes on to state that all so-called diseases are
crises of Toxemia. His book he goes in deep detail of the cause of
Toxemia and how to prevent it. He gives excellent information about
Toxemia. Anyone interested in learning more about Toxemia should read
this book. Simply put, the main causes of Toxemia are overeating and
eating low quality foods. You are the one responsible for taking these
foods into your body. Once you stop and start cleaning out the remnants
of what you have already ingested, you will begin experiencing true
health.
There are several stages to Toxemia. Medical doctors have named diseases
for each of these stages. The first stage is usually referred to as
diarrhea or constipation. The last stage of Toxemia is what doctors call
cancer. There are many stages in between. Toxemia is always reversible
until it reaches the final stage, and nobody knows when that last stage
will occur. Even a doctor doesn’t know. What this means is that no
matter how sick you may appear or how bad your disease may be, you
should never give up hope or quit trying. 99.9% of any so-called disease
is caused by your diet, your lifestyle, and the environment in which you
choose to live. Toxemia is a self-inflicted disease of the body. You are
in control of it. If you take care of your body, you will not get
Toxemia. Eat only small amounts of the best foods, think positive
thoughts, live in the cleanest environment possible and you will avoid
Toxemia.
Dr. Tilden wrote the book “Toxemia Explained” in 1926 and the
information stands valid to this day, because it is based on the truth.
If today’s medical doctors really want to prevent disease and cure sick
people, they should learn about Toxemia. As Dr. Tilden stated in his
book:
“Medical science is founded on a false premise. Namely, that disease is
caused by extraneous influences, and that drugs are something that cures
or palliates discomfort. The term ‘medical’ means pertaining to medicine
or the practice of medicine. Anything used in a remedial way carries the
idea of curing, healing, correcting, or affording relief; and this
doctoring is all done without any clear understanding of cause.”
No one knows your body better than you do. Most people would rather
listen to an unhealthy person just because they have a degree and wear a
white coat. It makes no sense to listen to doctors; instead listen to
your own body. If you do choose to listen to what others tell you about
your body, doesn’t it make much more sense to seek advice from a healthy
person? If you went to a gym, would you take advice from and strive to
be like a person who looked unhealthy? So, why take advice from an
unhealthy doctor? Stand outside any hospital in America and you will see
doctors who are overweight and smoking cigarettes. What does that tell
you?
Medical doctors know very little about good health. They do not study
health in medical school, which teaches them only about drug therapy. If
your car broke down, would you take it to a dentist to get it fixed?
Then why go to a doctor when you get sick? It is absurd. Why do you
think doctors call it a practice? The answer is because they practice on
your body. Yes, practice makes perfect but many mistakes also occur
during practice.
In today’s world, people tend to accept what they hear on the nightly
news or what they read in the daily newspaper, without ever questioning
it. People are brainwashed about health; they are taught lies and myths.
Finding out the truth is the first step to becoming natural in an
unnatural world. No matter how much knowledge you have and how hard you
work, if your information is fallacious, you will not get the results
you desire.
People tend to avoid the truth about health because once they realize
and accept the truth, great effort must then be expended to change
habits. Most people are too lazy to want to get involved. If you feel
lazy, you already have a form of toxemia, as laziness is a symptom of
disease. The truth will always be the truth, no matter how many people
deny it or run from it. Here is a great saying from Mark Twain:
“Whenever you find that you are on the side of majority, it’s time to
pause and reflect.” Even back then, Mark Twain knew that just because
you are different does not mean you are wrong.
Much of the information in this book comes from people I have met who
have been living as nature intended, for many years. They have superior
health and vitality to show for it. In this book, I am attempting to
pass their valuable information on to you. Use this information to your
advantage. Use the information that makes most sense to you. Then see
what happens. Many other people have also shared invaluable information
with me, far too many to mention, so I’ve tried my best to pass their
knowledge along to you too. We can also learn from people with poor
health. In fact, every person you meet and every experience you live
through can be a lesson.
Your goal may be to have a 100% natural diet or simply to eat more
fruits and vegetables. The key is to get started. Have you ever said to
yourself that you know you should eat more fruits and vegetables, but
you don’t like the taste of them? In this book, I will teach you how to
enjoy their wonderful taste so you’ll actually look forward to eating
them. If you eat 100% cooked foods, you will feel awful and eventually
get sick. If you eat 100% raw foods, after your body cleans out the
residue of all the unnatural food you have put in it, you will feel true
health and an amazing amount of energy.
You must realize that the only path to true health is to take care of
your body.
There are two ways to accomplish this. The first way is to just dive
right in and do it. If you have the desire and feel that you can, then
go for it! However, if you do decide to alter your eating abruptly,
beware! Making such a drastic change will cause a discomfort and result
in a severe detoxification that will hit your body hard and fast. Take
this advice as a warning. I do know people who have changed abruptly and
had great success, but it can also be deadly.
The second way is to make the transition in stages. Your detox will be
much less severe and easier on the body but it will last much longer.
For most people, I highly recommend this method over the first.
Attaining a raw life is a fight to the finish. Like two boxers duking it
out, it is a battle with you and your new healthy life fighting against
your old diseased body and its toxic life. When you win, you will feel
like the world champion. Nothing will be able to stop you.
Whichever way you decide, never say to yourself that you can’t do it. If
you even think it, guess what will happen? As you proceed in life if you
fear anything it is because you don’t have correct information about the
object of your fear. Obtain the knowledge and your fears will disappear,
because fear and knowledge cannot coexist simultaneously. Whatever you
decide to do in life, be positive about your choices and you will
succeed. Think positive thoughts at all times. You could. You can. You
will. Put those positive thoughts into action and do it! I will help
